Broadoaks is a demonstration lab school serving children in Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. With our evidence-based, child-centered approach, Broadoaks serves as a model for excellence in early childhood education. A hub for early learning, children enroll at Broadoaks from Preschool to Kindergarten and enjoy the caring attention of dedicated faculty and staff during the foundational years of their education journey. Broadoaks also proudly serves as a learning laboratory at Whittier College for future teachers and scholars. To this end, Broadoaks models best practices in the education and care of children, as well as in programs and services for families and advocacy for children’s wellbeing beyond the school gates. The Broadoaks preschool program is licensed by the California Department of Social Services; the elementary school program is authorized by the California and Los Angeles County Departments of Education
